“He goofs off during class.”
“She distracts everyone by talking while the teacher is talking.”
“He keeps fidgeting.”
“She just cannot stay focused.”
“They do not follow instructions.”
These are just a few of the many ways teachers, parents, and other students describe the “trouble makers,” but these are also a few of the common symptoms of ADHD.
Unfortunately, the symptoms of ADHD can be difficult to define. It is hard to draw the line between normal levels of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity and the need for intervention. Many cases of ADHD go undiagnosed. These children tend to act out in school and have trouble building relationships.
Early intervention with ADHD is crucial. Managing ADHD can involve counseling or medication. But where do you start? There is an abundance of information regarding ADHD, from books to organizations to support groups and apps. With so much information, it can be difficult to sort through. We have developed this e-book to highlight more than 100 of the many resources that exist for individuals with ADD or ADHD.
